The Virginia Literacy Leadership Council (VLLC) Conference

First held in Richmond in 2009, the VLLC Conference will once again be offered in 2010. This two-day event offers three strands of workshops for program administrators, staff, and volunteers: basic literacy, ESOL, and administration. Workshop topics include student retention, LD, assessing adults with low literacy skills, accounting practices, and teaching pronunciation to ESOL students. The Virginia Literacy Leadership Council’s conference committee consists of staff of adult literacy organizations, who work closely with the Literacy Specialist.
